How can I become a part of HYPE Wayne County?

Are you between 21-40 years old?
If you answered yes…you can join! Members who work for a Chamber member business will receive a FREE membership to HYPE Wayne County!
If your business is not a Chamber member, you will be charged a $5/month fee to join our organization!
Who is considered a professional?
We get this question A LOT! The answer, everyone who is working is a professional! We know that every person can benefit from professional development and social networking. Our members range from entry level positions to executive level positions.
What are the benefits for joining HYPE Wayne County?
Endless! The overall benefit of HYPE is determined by each member. Whether you want to connect with community leaders and like-minded young professionals, engage in the Wayne County community through service or develop professional leadership skills, our benefits are truly endless!
Our members are given an unique opportunity because your membership with HYPE also gives you a membership to the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce! You will be able to attend all the HYPE specific events, that includes both our social and professional development events, but you are also now available to attend all of the Chamber’s events.
Most of our members say one of the biggest benefits for joining HYPE is the networking. Often, young professionals can become stuck in their corners, unable to connect with others. HYPE helps break down those barriers and helps connect you to others your age, but also to seasoned professionals in our community who provide great mentoring opportunities.
What is the best way to get involved with HYPE?
We ask that our members attend our monthly meetings to learn about the organization. From there many of members become more involved with our organization! You can help plan upcoming events, help us connect with other young professionals and even join us as we attend community events together.
When and where does HYPE meet?
Great question! HYPE Wayne County meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30-7:00pm at VanVleet Insurance.
If a meeting is moved or rescheduled, we will alert our members as soon as possible!
What is the time commitment to be a member?
While participation is not mandatory, we do encourage our members to get as involved as they can. Many members will tell you that the more you put into our organization, the more you will get out of it. We encourage our HYPE members to take advantage of our opportunity to make Wayne County a better place to live, work and play for young professionals!
